Joining our SAR teams:
You must own a vessel or listed as alternate skipper on a vessel.
- Each request for an application has to be given individual consideration.
- There are two types of applications available. One for vessel owners, and one for all other members, i.e., co-owners and alternate skippers.
- Each application package consists of: 1) Application form as applicable, 2) Waiver of Salvage Rights, 3) Acknowledgment and Waiver.
- A copy of the valid CSI Certificate must accompany all applications from vessels 15 GRT and over.
- Proof of vessel ownership is required, i.e., certificate of registry, or some other document which indicates vessel ownership.
- Once a request is received for an application package, it has to be approved by the appropriate District Director before he/she is sent the applicable information.
